Information
Privacy notice
This notice explains how Fáilte Media handles personal data submitted through this website and information collected through optional analytics.
Who is responsible for your data
Fáilte Media, based in Dublin, Ireland, is the controller for the personal data described in this notice. Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent to [email protected].
Advertising enquiries
When you make an advertising enquiry, we collect the information you provide: your name, work email, organisation, website, publication and placement interests, budget range, preferred timing and message. Providing this information is voluntary, but we cannot assess or respond to an online enquiry without the required fields.
We use enquiry information to respond, assess suitability, recommend a publication or placement, prepare a proposal and take steps towards a potential business relationship. Our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before entering a contract and our legitimate interests in managing genuine business enquiries and protecting the enquiry service from misuse.
Form security and delivery
Cloudflare hosts the website and processes technical request data needed to deliver and secure it. Google reCAPTCHA processes technical and interaction information to assess whether a form submission is genuine. Resend processes the enquiry and email delivery data needed to send it to us. We do not use reCAPTCHA information for advertising.
Optional website analytics
Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics load only after you choose “Accept analytics”. If accepted, analytics may process device and browser information, approximate location derived from an IP address, referral information, page views and interactions with publication links, advertising calls to action and enquiry forms. The lawful basis for this processing is your consent.
Google Analytics may set the first-party cookies _ga, used to distinguish visitors, and _ga_G-CMF1Z17369, used to maintain session state. Google’s default expiry for each is two years, subject to browser limits and the final Google tag configuration. Your analytics choice, timestamp and notice version are stored locally in your browser as fm-analytics-consent.
Choosing “Decline analytics” keeps analytics storage denied and does not restrict the website. You can withdraw or change your choice at any time using the “Analytics settings” control.
Recipients and international processing
We do not sell personal data. Information is shared only as needed with providers supporting hosting and security (Cloudflare), form security and optional analytics (Google), and enquiry delivery (Resend). These providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers are covered by an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards made available by the relevant provider.
How long we keep information
Unsuccessful advertising enquiries are normally deleted within 24 months of the last meaningful contact. If an enquiry leads to a contract, relevant correspondence may be retained for the duration of the relationship and afterwards where required for accounting, legal claims or other legal obligations. User- and event-level data retention in the Google Analytics property is set to two months, without resetting the user-retention period on new activity. This setting does not control Google’s standard aggregated reports or the separate cookie expiry described above. Consent preferences remain in your browser until you clear them or change your choice.
Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. To exercise a right, email [email protected]. We may request information needed to verify your identity.
You also have the right to complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission. Contact and complaint information is available at dataprotection.ie.
Automated decisions and changes
We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects solely through automated processing. reCAPTCHA assigns a risk score to protect the form; rejected submissions can still be made by emailing us. We will update this notice when our processing or providers materially change.
